Deepinder Goyal (born 26 January 1983) is an Indian entrepreneur and investor. He is the founder and CEO of Zomato, a global online food delivery and restaurant discovery platform.

Deepinder Goyal was born in India in 1983. He showed an early interest in technology and problem-solving, which led him to pursue a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Engineering from IIT Delhi. During his college years, he was deeply interested in entrepreneurship and exploring ways to combine technology with everyday services. After graduation, he worked briefly in consulting and IT roles, where he developed insights into market gaps and customer behavior, setting the stage for his entrepreneurial journey.
Shanghvi is the founder and managing director of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., one of India’s largest pharmaceutical companies. He also focuses on generic medicines, specialty drugs, and international pharmaceutical markets.
