On November 6, 2024, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met with the medical team from King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC), who successfully performed the world’s first fully robotic heart transplant. This groundbreaking surgery, which took place in September 2024, was carried out on a 16-year-old patient suffering from end-stage heart failure.
