Rohit Bansal is an Indian entrepreneur and business leader, best known as the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Snapdeal, one of India’s prominent e-commerce companies. He co-founded Snapdeal on February 4, 2010, along with his school friend Kunal Bahl, playing a vital role in building the company’s operations, strategy, and growth during its formative years. Under his leadership, Snapdeal emerged as a key player in India’s digital commerce ecosystem.
Born in Malout, Punjab, India, Rohit Bansal completed his school education at Delhi Public School (DPS), New Delhi. He went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, one of India’s most prestigious institutions. His strong academic background laid the foundation for his entrepreneurial journey and operational expertise in building large-scale technology-driven businesses.
